NFC module Description NFC (Near Field Communication) module NFC cable kit (includes NFC cable and antenna) Spare part number 790069-001 842323-001 Before removing the NFC module, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 24). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 43). Remove the NFC module: 1. Disconnect the cable from the NFC module (1). 2. Disconnect the antenna from the NFC module (2). 3. Use a flat tool to pry the module up (3), and the lift it from the computer (4). NOTE: The NFC module cable and NFC antenna are available in the NFC Cable Kit, spare part number 842323-001.
