2 Power Selecting a Power Source The notebook can run on internal power from a charged battery pack or on external power. External power can be obtained from an electrical outlet (using the AC Adapter), from a vehicle cigarette lighter receptacle (using an optional Automobile Power Adapter/Charger) or from the in-seat power supply available on some commercial aircraft (using an optional Aircraft Power Adapter). Select a power source that supports the way you plan to use the notebook. Task Work in most software applications. Charge or calibrate a battery pack in the notebook. Install or modify system software or Write to a CD.
