HP TouchSmart Tiles When you open HP TouchSmart software, you see a row of large tiles and a row of small tiles below that. Tiles are shortcuts to either software programs, features in HP TouchSmart, or links to Web sites. Use the large tile area for programs you use often, and use the small tiles for the rest of your program shortcuts. Move these tiles around by dragging a tile up and out of a row and dropping it to a new location. The tile appears as a transparent image as it moves. You can move the large tiles down to the small tile area or the small tiles up to the large tile area. See the FAQ chapter for information on how to add, change, or delete tiles. HP TouchSmart Browser HP TouchSmart Browser is a simple viewer for displaying live content in your HP TouchSmart homepage. Its interface is different from that of Internet Explorer®, and can be more useful. Use it in a large tile to monitor your favorite Web sites as they change content throughout the day. The HP TouchSmart Browser supports only standard HTML pages. It does not support other display formats, such as RSS Feeds. To view RSS Feeds, use the HP TouchSmart RSS Feed tile. If you are doing heavy Web surfing, and using sites with a lot of pop-ups, or downloading files with secondary dialog boxes, use Internet Explorer or another standard browser.
