The condensation collector should be replaced or emptied in the following situations: ● The printer shows a condensation collector alert on the front panel. ● The condensation collector has reached its capacity: see the level indicator on the collector. NOTE: The volume of condensation collected may vary depending on usage mode, room temperature, and humidity. This means that the condensation level shown on the front panel may not match the level inside the condensation collector. Replace or empty the condensation collector 1. At the front panel, press , then the Condensation collector tab at the left of the screen. 2. Information appears on the level of condensation in the collector. Press the How to empty button, and the front panel will explain how to proceed. 3. When the collector has been emptied, remember to reset the counter by pressing the Reset button. 4. The front panel asks you to confirm that the condensation collector level will be reset. Press OK to confirm. Safe mode Under certain conditions, including printer operation outside of environmental specifications, and when a used, refilled, or counterfeit ink cartridge has been detected, the printer will operate in 'safe' mode. HP is unable to warrant the performance of the printing system when operated outside of environmental specifications or when a used, refilled, or counterfeit ink cartridge is installed. Safe mode is designed to protect the printer and the printheads from damage due to unexpected conditions, and is in operation when the icon is displayed on the front panel. For optimal performance, use Original HP ink cartridges. The volume of condensation collected may vary depending on usage mode, room temperature, and
humidity. This means that the condensation level shown on the front panel may not match the level inside the
condensation collector.
Replace or empty the condensation collector
1.
At the front panel, press
, then the
Condensation collector
tab at the left of the screen.

Information appears on the level of condensation in the collector. Press the
How to empty
button, and the
front panel will explain how to proceed.

When the collector has been emptied, remember to reset the counter by pressing the
Reset
button.

The front panel asks you to confirm that the condensation collector level will be reset. Press
