Installing the Tower Server The following illustration shows the server in a standard tower configuration. Figure 6-1: HP ProLiant ML530 Generation 2 tower server Server Installation Guidelines Follow the guidelines in Chapter 2, "Planning the Server Installation," to plan an optimum environment and to install your HP ProLiant ML530 Generation 2 server properly and safely. Be aware of all server warnings listed in the chapter and throughout this guide. Install any optional hardware components before installing and powering up the server for the first time. See Chapter 3, "Installing Hardware Options," for instructions on installing PCI expansion boards and other major hardware options.
