To change from a USB connection to a wireless network (OS X) 1. Connect the printer to your wireless network. 2. Use HP Setup Assistant in Applications/Hewlett-Packard/Device Utilities to change the software connection to wireless for this printer. Test the wireless connection Print the wireless test report for information about the printer wireless connection. The wireless test report provides information about the printer status, hardware (MAC) address, and IP address. If the printer is connected to a network, the test report displays details about the network settings. To print the wireless test report 1. From the printer control panel, touch 2. Turn on or off the wireless capability of the printer The wireless capability of the printer is on by default, as indicated by the blue Wireless light on the printer control panel. If the wireless light is blinking, wireless enable (wireless radio on) but you do not have a wireless connection. If the wireless light is on solid blue, the printer has an active connection to a wireless network. If your printer is connected using an Ethernet, the wireless capability is not used, in this case you might want to turn off the printer wireless capability. NOTE: Connecting an Ethernet cable to the printer automatically turns off the wireless capability and the Wireless light also goes off. 1.
