Installing the Failover Manager (Hyper-V) Beginning with release 9.0, the Failover Manager (Hyper-V) is included in the HP StorageWorks P4000 Management Software for Microsoft Windows. Download the software from http://www.hp.com/go/P4000downloads Requirements • Hyper-V host server running a supported 64-bit Windows OS • A single virtual CPU with at least 2000 MHz reserved • At least 1 GB (1024 MB) of memory reserved • Approximately 13 GB available drive space CAUTION: Install the Failover Manager on a system that has access to the SAN subnet. Do not install it on the SAN itself or on the same Hyper-V host server that is running a P4000 VSA for Hyper-V. SIM 6.2 supports device monitoring all P4000 devices with SAN/iQ 9 but the SAN/iQ 9 MIBs
must be re-loaded manually into SIM

A future release of SIM will include SAN/iQ 9 MIBs (6.2.2)
The LeftHand Networks Service Console service discontinued in early 2011
HP recommends migrating to HP Insight Remote Support to replace the LeftHand Networks Service
Console.
