5. Lift the system board (2), and then remove the system board (3) by sliding it up and to the right at an angle. Reverse this procedure to install the system board. Solid State Drive Description 256 GB mSATA solid-state drive MLC (not pictured) available on select models 256 GB mSATA solid-state drive TLC (not pictured) Spare part number 766593-001 766594-001 Before removing the solid state drive, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 42), 5. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive connector on page 66). 6. Remove the top cover from the base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 46). 7. Remove the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 62). 8. Remove the system board (see System board on page 70).
