Memory module Description 4096-MB, PC3 10600, 1333-MHz shared 2048-MB, PC3 10600 1024-MB, PC3 10600, 1333-MHz shared Spare part number 621569-001 581096-001 639736-001 Before removing the memory module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 36). Remove the memory module: 1. Turn the computer upside down with the front toward you. 2. Loosen the two Phillips 4.0x2.5 captive screws (1) that secure the memory module compartment cover to the computer. 3. Remove the cover (2). The memory module compartment cover is included in the Plastics Kit, spare part number 640353-001. 4. Spread the retaining tabs (1) on each side of the memory module slot to release the memory module. (The edge of the module opposite the slot rises away from the computer.)
