Removal and replacement procedures Modem module cable ✎ The modem module cable is included in the Cable Kit, using the following spare part numbers: ■ 583282-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6545b computer models ■ 593853-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6540b computer models ■ 583957-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6445b computer models ■ 593854-001-for use only with HP Compaq 6440b computer models Before removing the modem module cable, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see "Battery" on page 4-7). 5. Remove the following components: a. Bluetooth module (see "Bluetooth module" on page 4-9) b. Mass storage device (see "Mass storage device" on page 4-11) c. Optical drive (see "Optical drive" on page 4-21) d. Keyboard (see "Keyboard" on page 4-23) e. Modem module cable
The modem module cable is included in the Cable Kit, using the following spare part numbers:
583282-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6545b computer models
593853-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6540b computer models
583957-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6445b computer models
593854-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6440b computer models
Before removing the modem module cable, follow these steps:
1.
