I/O board Description I/O board NOTE: The I/O board spare part kit does not include the I/O board cable. The I/O board cable is available using spare part number 743830-001. Spare part number 743829-001 Before removing the I/O board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet. 4. Remove the back cover (see Back cover on page 13). Remove the I/O board: 1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. 2. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the I/O board cable is attached, and then disconnect the I/O board cable from the I/O board. 3. Disconnect the speaker cables (2) from the I/O board. 4. Remove the two Phillips PM1.5×4.0 screws (3) that secure the I/O board to the display panel assembly. 20 Chapter 5 Removal and replacement procedures

The I/O board spare part kit does not include the I/O board cable. The I/O board

Before removing the I/O board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4.
Remove the back cover (see
Back cover
on page
13
).
Remove the I/O board:
1.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
2.
Release the ZIF connector

to which the I/O board cable is attached, and then disconnect the
I/O board cable from the I/O board.
3.
Disconnect the speaker cables
(2)
from the I/O board.
4.
Remove the two Phillips PM1.5×4.0 screws
(3)
that secure the I/O board to the display
panel assembly.
