Working With the Core Switch 2/64 Blade Beacon Mode When beaconing mode is enabled, the port LEDs will flash amber in a running pattern from port 0 through port 15 and back again. The pattern continues until the user turns it off. This can be used to signal the user to a particular blade. Setting the Blade Beacon Mode To set the blade beacon mode on: 1. Log into the switch as the admin user. 2. Enter the bladebeacon command with the following syntax at the command line: bladebeacon slotnumber, mode where slotnumber is the blade where you want to enable beacon mode. 1 turns beaconing mode on, or 0 turns beaconing mode off. Blade Beacon Mode
When beaconing mode is enabled, the port LEDs will flash amber in a running
pattern from port 0 through port 15 and back again. The pattern continues until the
user turns it off. This can be used to signal the user to a particular blade.
Setting the Blade Beacon Mode
To set the blade beacon mode on:
1.
Log into the switch as the admin user.
2.
Enter the
bladebeacon
command with the following syntax at the
command line:
bladebeacon
slotnumber
,
mode
where
slotnumber
is the blade where you want to enable beacon mode. 1
