3 BIOS Overview Award BIOS Main Menu The Main Menu presents basic system information such as: • Date. Change the PC's date settings. • Time. Change the time settings in the PC's internal clock. • BIOS Version. Displays the BIOS version installed. This field is not selectable; there is no help associated with it. • Drive A. Select the floppy drive type. • Drive B. Select the floppy drive type. • Floppy 3 Mode Support. Select 3 mode floppy capability. This is for high-capacity floppy drives. • Primary Master. Displays the Primary IDE master device. Press the Enter key to view or modify settings for the installed IDE device. You can for example set the BIOS to auto-detect and configure the device, or select Manual in the Type submenu to change parameters such as the number of cylinders, number of heads, number of sectors, access mode, PIO mode and Ultra DMA mode, where applicable. You can also disable the device by selecting None in the Type submenu. • Primary Slave. Displays the Primary IDE Slave device, if one is installed. Press the Enter key to view or modify settings for the installed IDE device. See Primary Master above for details of how to view or change the device configuration. • Secondary Master.
