Observe the electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions and the prerequisites for removing and replacing components or accessories as discussed in Chapter 1. Also, read any NOTEs, CAUTIONs, and WARNINGs in each component or accessory removal and replacement procedures. Front Bezel and Top Cover This section describes how to remove and replace the J6700 workstation's front bezel and top cover. Note that you can perform certain operations, like removing and replacing hard disk drives, simply removing the front bezel of the workstation. Other operations require more access to the interior of the workstation, so you will need to remove the front bezel or top panel to perform those procedures. Front Bezel and Top Cover
This section describes how to remove and replace the J6700 workstation’s front bezel and
top cover.
Note that you can perform certain operations, like removing and replacing hard disk
drives, simply removing the front bezel of the workstation. Other operations require more
access to the interior of the workstation, so you will need to remove the front bezel or top
panel to perform those procedures.
CAUTION
The system will not operate with the top panel removed.
