Product Description 1.7 Intel® Q965 Express Chipset The Intel Q965 Express chipset consists of the following devices: • Intel 82Q965 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) with Direct Media Interface (DMI) interconnect • Intel 82801HO I/O Controller Hub (ICH8DO) with DMI interconnect The GMCH component provides interfaces to the CPU, memory, PCI Express, and the DMI interconnect. The component also provides integrated graphics capabilities supporting 3D, 2D and display capabilities. The ICH8DO is a centralized controller for the board's I/O paths. Either the GMA 3000 graphics controller (contained within the 82Q965 GMCH) is used, or a PCI Express x16 add-in card can be used.
