Replacing the Power Supply (SR1530HAHLX) Caution: The power supply is NOT hot swappable. Before removing or replacing the power supply, you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord from the system or wall outlet. The power supply can be replaced if it fails or if one of the fans that is integrated into it fails. To replace the power supply, use the following instructions. 1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See "Safety Information" on page iii. 2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable (see letter "A" in the figure below). 3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Server System Cover". 4. Disconnect all power cables connected to the server board and peripherals. 5. Lift up slightly on the front of the power supply until it clears the foot at the bottom of the chassis (see letter "B" in the figure below). 6. Slide the power supply forward (see letter "C" in the figure below) and then lift it from the chassis. A C B AF001630 Figure 70. Replacing the Power Supply (SR1530HAHLX)
Caution:
The power supply is NOT hot swappable. Before removing or replacing the power supply,
you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to
the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power
cord from the system or wall outlet.
The power supply can be replaced if it fails or if one of the fans that is integrated into it
fails. To replace the power supply, use the following instructions.
1.
Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See

2.
Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable
(see letter “A” in the figure below).
3.
Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
“Removing the Server
System Cover”
.
4.
Disconnect all power cables connected to the server board and peripherals.
5.
Lift up slightly on the front of the power supply until it clears the foot at the bottom
of the chassis (see letter “B” in the figure below).
6.
Slide the power supply forward (see letter “C” in the figure below) and then lift it
from the chassis.
