Remove the cable from the rear of the RAID battery backup unit and the mid-plane board as shown in the figure below (see letter "A"). 6. Removing the RAID Battery Backup Unit
1.

2.
Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3.
Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
“Removing the Chassis
Cover”

4.
Remove the power distribution board cover. For instructions, see
“Replacing the
Power Distribution Module”

5.
Remove the cable from the rear of the RAID battery backup unit and the mid-plane
board as shown in the figure below (see letter “A”).
6.
Slide the RAID battery backup unit forward and lift from the server system (see
letter “B”).
