Chapter 1 - About 3270 and 5250 Programming Start Field Extended Note: This order only applies when the terminal is set to use colors for the 3270 data stream. This order defines the start of a field and assigns field color, extended highlighting, and programmed symbols attributes to the field. This order also notifies the computer that the next byte is a count of the number of values and types that will follow. The ordered pairs of type/value are defined as follows: 0xc0 Field Attribute Type Attribute values are decoded as defined in the next table: Bits bits 7,6 bit 5 bit 4 bit 3,2 bit 1 Description Not used 0 = unprotected 1 = protected 0 = alphanumeric 1 = numeric 00 = Display, normal video mode 10 = Display, reverse video 11 = Field is non-displayable 1 = Keyboard only data 0 = keyboard and barcode reader input allowed. 0x41 Extended Highlighting Type 0x00 Default 0xf1 Blink 0xf2 Reverse Video 0xf4 Underscore 0x42 Color Type 0x00 Default 0xf1 Blue 0xf2 Red 0xf3 Pink 0xf4 Green 0xf5 Turquoise 0xf6 Yellow 0xf7 White 12 Intermec Terminal Emulator (ITE) Programmer's Reference Manual
