Local Edit mode is a feature of the VT340 Computer. Use the mode to send characters to page memory instead of to the host. The computer sends a block of edited text to the host after you press a terminating key. Terminating keys in Local Edit mode are Enter and F1 through F20. Edit Mode and Interactive Mode The edit mode control function (DECEDM) selects edit mode or interactive mode. The function determines when the computer sends data to the host.
