ENGLISH SOUND ADJUSTMENTS Adjusting the sound You can adjust the sound characteristics to your preference. 1 Select the item you want to adjust. Each time you press the button, the adjustable items change as follows: *1 If you are using a two-speaker system, set the fader level to "00." *2 This takes effect only when a subwoofer is connected. *3 Normally the control dial works as the volume control. So you do not have to select "VOL" to adjust the volume level. *4 Depending on the amplifier gain control setting. (See page 30 for details.) 2 Adjust the setting. For KD-AR800/KD-G800: FAD BAL (fader) (balance) LOUD (loudness) VOL WOOFER (volume) (subwoofer) For KD-G700: FAD (fader) VOL (volume) BAL (balance) LOUD (loudness) To increase the level or turn on the loudness To decrease the level or turn off the loudness Indication pattern changes as you adjust the fader or balance. Indication FAD*1 BAL To do: Range Adjust the front R06 (Rear only) and rear speaker | balance. F06 (Front only) Adjust the left L06 (Left only) and right speaker | balance. R06 (Right only) LOUD Boost low and high frequencies to produce a well-balanced sound at low volume level. LOUD ON | LOUD OFF WOOFER*2 Adjust the (only for subwoofer KD-AR800/ output level. KD-G800) 00 (min.) | 08 (max.)
