SMTP SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a protocol for sending e-mail. This protocol was originally used to send e-mail between servers; however, currently client e-mail software use it to also send e-mail to servers using POP. SNMP SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is actually a set of protocols for managing complex networks. SNMP works by sending messages to different parts of a network. SNMP-compliant devices, called agents, store data about themselves in Management Information Bases (MIBs) and return this data to the SNMP requesters. Port 9100 When printing through a network, TCP/IP port number 9100 can be used to send raw data. Web Service Print Printing is possible using the WSD (Web Service on Devices) function. A connection supports WSD, detects the printer on the network automatically and connects. Specifying a WSD printer when printing from Windows Vista/ 7/Server 2008/Server 2008 R2 allows printing using Web service for communication. 8-10 Network Printing
