7. Connect one end of the signal cable to the rear of the new hard disk drive and the other end to an available SATA connector on the system board. Turn off the computer and disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets. 2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 69. 3. Remove the front bezel. See "Removing and reinstalling the front bezel" on page 70. 4. Locate the front audio and USB assembly. 5. Disconnect the front audio and USB assembly cables from the system board. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 65. To replace the front audio and USB assembly, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer and disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets.
2. Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 69.
3. Remove the front bezel. See “Removing and reinstalling the front bezel” on page 70.
4. Locate the front audio and USB assembly.
5. Disconnect the front audio and USB assembly cables from the system board. See “Locating parts on
the system board” on page 65.
Note:
Make sure you note the locations of the cables when you disconnect the cables from the system
board.
