Chapter 9. Getting information, help, and service This chapter contains information about help, service, and technical assistance for products manufactured by Lenovo. Information resources This section describes how to access useful resources relating to your computing needs. Online Books folder The Online Books folder provides publications to help you set up and use your computer. The Online Books folder is preinstalled on your computer and requires no Internet access to view the publications. In addition to this User Guide, the Hardware Installation and Replacement Guide is also available in the Online Books folder. The Hardware Installation and Replacement Guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing Customer Replacement Units (CRUs) in your computer. CRUs are computer parts that can be upgraded or replaced by the customer. To view a publication, open the Start menu from the Windows desktop, select All Programs, select Online Books, and click Online Books. Double-click on the appropriate publication for your computer. The publications also are available on the Lenovo Web site at http://www.lenovo.com. Notes: 1. These publications are in Portable Document Format (PDF) format, which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to be installed. If Adobe Acrobat Reader has not yet been installed on your computer, a message will appear when you attempt to view the PDF file and you will be guided through the Adobe Acrobat Reader installation. 2. The publications that are preinstalled on your computer are available in other languages on the Lenovo Support Web site at http://www.lenovo.com/support/. 3. If you want to install a different language version of Adobe Acrobat Reader than the version provided on your computer, go to the Adobe Web site at http://www.adobe.com and download the version you want to use. Lenovo Care Lenovo Care contains information sources and tools designed to make computing easier and secure.
