Chapter 2. Using Your Computer „ Shutting Down Your computer If you are not going to use your computer for a day or two, shut it down. To shut down your computer, click Start and select Shut down from the Start menu. Adjusting the display After you begin working with your computer, you might need to adjust your display to achieve its optimum performance. „ Adjusting the brightness You can increase or decrease the brightness on your display. To adjust the brightness on your display, press Fn + up/down arrow. „ Switching between wide screen and normal screen You can change the aspect ratio on your display. To switch between wide screen and normal mode, press Fn + F4 to open Resolution switchover screen. Select "1366 × 768" or "1024 × 768" to switch wide screen and normal screen. Note: You can also select provided resolution from the pull down menu. 11

Shutting Down Your computer
If you are not going to use your computer for a day or two, shut it down.
To shut down your computer, click
Start
and
select
Shut down
from the
Start menu.
Adjusting the display

Adjusting the brightness
You can increase or decrease the brightness on your display.
To adjust the brightness on your display, press
Fn + up/down arrow
.
Switching between wide screen and normal screen
You can change the
aspect ratio
on your display.
To switch between wide screen and normal mode, press
Fn
+ F4
to open
Resolution switchover screen.
Select “1366 × 768” or “1024 × 768” to switch wide screen and normal screen.
Note:
You can also select provided resolution from the pull down menu.
