Saving money and the environment 238 Use On Off 3 Click Submit. To Reduce printer noise. Notes: • Print jobs are processed at a reduced speed. • Printer engine motors do not start until a document is ready to print. There will be a short delay before the first page is printed. Use factory default settings. Note: This setting supports the performance specifications of the printer. Adjusting Sleep mode 1 From the home screen, navigate to: > Settings > General Settings > Timeouts > Sleep Mode 2 In the Sleep Mode field, select the number of minutes the printer is idle before it enters Sleep mode. 3 Apply the changes. Adjusting the brightness of the display To save energy, or if you have trouble reading your display, then adjust the brightness of the display. Available settings range from 20-100. The factory default setting is 100. Using the Embedded Web Server 1 Type the scanner IP address or host name in the address field of your Web browser. If you do not know the IP address or host name of the scanner, then you can: • View the information on the scanner control panel home screen, or in the TCP/IP section under the Networks/Ports menu. • Print a network setup page or menu settings page, and then locate the information in the TCP/IP section. 2 Click Settings > General Settings. 3 In the Screen Brightness field, enter the brightness percentage you want for the display. 4 Click Submit. Using the scanner control panel 1 From the home screen, navigate to: > Settings > General Settings 2 Touch the arrows until Screen Brightness appears, and then select a setting. 3 Touch Submit.
