Memory and Option Cards Installing Options Printer Memory The printer memory option increases the printer dynamic random access memory (DRAM). Additional printer memory allows the printer to print complex jobs and operate more efficiently. Your printer was shipped with 8MB of standard printer memory. You can install one printer memory option in your printer. Printer memory upgrade options available are 4, 8, 16, or 32MB. Note: Data stored in printer memory is lost when the printer is unplugged. Accessing the Printer System Board under the Input Tray Complete the following steps before you install a printer memory option: 1 Unplug the printer power cord. 2 Disconnect all cables from the back of the printer. 210 Chapter 9: Memory and Option Cards
