Radar Gain Adjust menu options Controls the sensitivity of the radar receiver. Increasing gain will show more detail on the screen; decreasing gain will show less detail. Too much detail will clutter the screen. Conversely, desired returns may not be shown if gain is too low. Sea Clutter Reduces or eliminates onscreen clutter caused by wave action near your vessel. Rain Clutter Precipitation reflects radar signals, cluttering the screen. Rain Clutter reduces or eliminates returns caused by rain, hail, sleet or snow. Interference Rejection Reduces interference from other active radars near your vessel. If another ship is operating radar near you, interference from its radar signals can appear on your display. Increase interference rejection until radar interference is eliminated from your display. Interference Rejection has four settings: Off, Low, Medium and High. Target Boost This feature increases the size of radar targets, making them easier to see on the display. Target Boost has four options: Off, Low, Medium and High. Auto Gain Selecting Auto gain from the Radar menu will automatically set the sensitivity of the receiver to a level that works well under most conditions, reducing the need for adjustments. If you make adjustments to the Gain level when Auto gain is on, Gain will switch to manual mode. To select Auto Gain: 1. Press the MENU key. The Radar menu will appear 2. Gain
Controls the sensitivity of the radar receiver.
Increasing gain will show more detail on
the screen; decreasing gain will show
less detail. Too much detail will clutter the
screen. Conversely, desired returns may not
be shown if gain is too low.
Sea Clutter
Reduces or eliminates onscreen clutter
caused by wave action near your vessel.
Rain Clutter
Precipitation reflects radar signals, cluttering
the screen. Rain Clutter reduces or eliminates
returns caused by rain, hail, sleet or snow.
Interference Rejection
Reduces interference from other active ra
-
dars near your vessel. If another ship is op-
erating radar near you, interference from its
radar signals can appear on your display.
Increase interference rejection until radar
interference is eliminated from your display.
Interference Rejection has four settings:
