System BIOS Setup Power Management Setup The Power Management Setup allows you to configure you system to most effectively save energy while operating in a manner consistent with your own style of computer use. ACPI Function This item is to activate the ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface) Function. If your operating system is ACPI-aware, such as Windows® 98SE/2000/ME, select Enabled. Settings: Enabled, Disabled. Power Management This item is used to select the degree (or type) of power saving and is related to these modes: Suspend Mode and HDD Power Down. There are three options for power management: Min Saving Minimum Power Management. Suspend Mode = 1 Hour, and HDD Power Down = 15 Min. Max Saving Maximum Power Management. Suspend Mode = 1 Min, and HDD Power Down = 1 Min. User Define Allows end users to configure each mode separately. 3-19
