Chapter 1 MS-7756 ▶ VGA Port The DB15-pin female connector is provided for monitor. ▶ DVI-D Port The DVI-D (Digital Visual Interface-Digital) connector allows you to connect a LCD monitor. It provides a high-speed digital interconnection between the computer and its display device. To connect an LCD monitor, simply plug your monitor cable into the DVI-D connector, and make sure that the other end of the cable is properly connected to your monitor (refer to your monitor manual for more information). Important The VGA and DVI-D ports on the mainboard are designed to serve as IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor) used. If you installed a processor without integrated graphics chip, these display ports will have no effect. ▶ Audio Ports These connectors are used for audio devices. The color of the jack refers to the function of the connector. ■ Blue-Line in: Used for connecting external audio outputting devices. ■ Green- Line out: Used as a connector for speakers or headphone. ■ Pink- Mic: Used as a connector for a microphone. ■ Black- RS-Out: Rear surround sound line out in 4/ 5.1/ 7.1 channel mode. ■ Orange- CS-Out: Center/ subwoofer line out in 5.1/ 7.1 channel mode. ■ Gray- SS-Out: Side surround sound line out in 7.1 channel mode. 1-9

VGA Port

DVI-D Port
The DVI-D (D±g±tal V±sual Interface-D±g±tal) connector allows you to connect a LCD
mon±tor. It prov±des a h±gh-speed d±g±tal ±nterconnect±on between the computer and
±ts d±splay dev±ce. To connect an LCD mon±tor, s±mply plug your mon±tor cable ±nto the
DVI-D connector, and make sure that the other end of the cable ±s properly connected
to your mon±tor (refer to your mon±tor manual for more ±nformat±on).
Important

These connectors are used for aud±o dev±ces. The color of the jack refers to the funct±on

Green- L±ne out: Used as a connector for speakers or headphone.
P±nk- M±c: Used as a connector for a m±crophone.
Black- RS-Out: Rear surround sound l±ne out ±n 4/ 5.1/ 7.1 channel mode.
Orange- CS-Out: Center/ subwoofer l±ne out ±n 5.1/ 7.1 channel mode.
Gray- SS-Out: S±de surround sound l±ne out ±n 7.1 channel mode.
