ENGLISH ERROR MODE WARNING/LAMP indicator, ON indicator, and STANDBY indicator diagnose error mode of the projector as follows. Error mode Lamp cover Lamp Temperature Fan Other WARNING /LAMP ON Indicators ON OFF ON OFF Flashing Flashing Flashing OFF OFF OFF STANDBY Flashing OFF Flashing ON OFF Possible Cause The lamp cover is not closed properly. The lamp has failed, or the lamp is completely worn out. Projector internal temperature is higher than the allowed level. Trouble has occurred with the fan. Internal program error Recommendation Close the cover correctly. Replace the lamp and reset lamp life. Check if anything is blocking the exhaust vent. Shut power OFF and ON again. ON SCREEN MESSAGE Use the list below to check the message displayed on the screen. Message NO SIGNAL REPLACE LAMP! Meaning No input signal. The lamp has reached the end of its life. OUT OF RANGE Improper signal feed to the projector. Remedy Properly connect the cables. Replace the lamp and reset lamp life. Adjust resolution, V(Hz) : refresh rate of the equipment, referring to the Timing Chart. GLOSSARY Aspect ratio Width and height ratio of an image. The normal aspect ratio of a computer and video image is 4 : 3. There are also wide images with an aspect ratio of 16 : 9 and 21 : 9. Black Level (Black setup) The signal level which represents black picture intensity. For NTSC system for USA, this level is 7.5IRE. NORMAL: 16 (Black) - 235 (White) For NTSC system for Japan and DVD, this level is 0IRE. EXPAND: 0 (Black) - 246 (White) Color Temperature White color hue. Low color temperature implies a warmer (more yellow/red) light. High color temperature implies a colder (more blue) light. Keystone Distortion of the image caused by projection to a wrong vertical angle. 35
