Frequently asked questions Problem solving guide With the help of the following guide, minor faults in the performance of the appliance, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right without contacting Miele Service. This will save time and money. The following guide may help you to find the reason for a fault, and to correct it. You should, however, note the following:  Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for unauthorized work. Repair work to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current local and national safety codes. A wash program cannot be started Problem The display stays blank and no indicator illuminates. Immediately after the program start the washer cancels the program. Possible cause and solution The washer has no power.  Check to determine if the washer is plugged in.  Check to determine if the circuit breaker has tripped. The "child entrapment sensor" has reacted.  Open the drum door.  Check the drum.  Restart the program. 35
