Refreshing Thumbnails and Folders If you take new photographs with the camera in "PC" mode while a list of the images stored in the camera is displayed, the images displayed in the window will be automatically refreshed. If the camera is set to a different mode or is disconnected, the window will not be open, and the contents will be refreshed when you next open the window. If, however, you have replaced a memory card while browsing images with a compactflash card-reader or card adapter, or if you have added files to or deleted files from the hard disk by some other means while the thumbnail list is displayed, the contents of the window will not be automatically refreshed. In such cases, you can update the window contents as described below. Short-cut: Click the right mouse button in an empty area of the window and choose Refresh from the right-button menu. The computer will read the images in the selected medium (the camera if Digital Camera is selected, a compact flash-memory card if Removable Media is selected, or a specified folder on a disk if Hard Disk is selected), and thumbnail previews will be displayed in the window. You can select Refresh from the View menu while folders are displayed. Caution: Do not disconnect the camera data are being transferred to or from the computer, as this could damage the product.
