Double-click the Digital Camera icon. Folders in the camera's memory are represented by an icon showing a roll of film. The Digital Camera window will close automatically if you do any of the following: • Turn the camera off • Let the camera enter sleep mode • Remove the compact flash-memory card from the cam- era • Set the camera to any mode other than "PC" Caution: Do not disconnect the camera while data are being transferred to or from the computer, as otherwise the product could be damaged. Reopening the window The Digital Camera window will reopen automatically if you do any of the following. • Turn the camera off and then on • Wake the camera up by pressing the shutter-release button half way • Remove and reinsert the memory card • Return the camera to "PC" mode after switching to another mode Browsing Images: Browsing Images in Your Camera Folder Names When displayed in Nikon View, folders created with the camera are prefixed by a three digit folder number. Thus the default folder is displayed as "100NC_D1." Each folder can hold up to 999 images. If this number is exceeded, the camera will create a new folder with the same name but a different prefix (e.g.,"100NC_D1"). - 6 -
