Switch the phone on and off Warning: Do not switch the phone on when wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger. To switch the phone on or off, press and hold the power key. If the phone asks for a PIN or a UPIN code, enter the code (displayed as ****), and select OK. Set the time, time zone, and date Enter the local time, select the time zone of your location in terms of the time difference with respect to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), and enter the date. See "Set time and date" on page 50. ■ Key functions The Navi TM key and selection keys have the following functions: • Navi TM key - scroll up, down, left, right, and select with the center key • Right selection key - connect to Names • Media key- open the Media menu to listen to music • Camera and video key - start the camera or video • Left selection key - connect to shortcuts, such as Bluetooth menu and Cellular Video • MEdia Net key - connect to MEdia Net's wireless internet ■ Standby mode When the phone is ready for use, and you have not entered any characters, the phone is in the standby mode. Indicators You have unread messages. You have new voice mail. You have unsent, canceled, or failed messages. The phone registered a missed call. 16

Switch the phone on and off
Warning:
Do not switch the phone on when wireless phone use is prohibited or
when it may cause interference or danger.
To switch the phone on or off, press and hold the power
key.
If the phone asks for a PIN or a UPIN code, enter the
code (displayed as ****), and select
OK
.
Set the time, time zone, and date
Enter the local time, select the time zone of your
location in terms of the time difference with respect to
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), and enter the date.

Key functions
The Navi
