Taking close-up pictures (macro/super macro mode) Focusing is usually slow when you get close to a subject (W: 8 cm/3.2" to 60 cm/23.6", T: 60 cm/23.6" to 120 cm/47.2"). However, in macro mode focusing is performed quickly. & When the optical zoom lever is at the maximum wide position and you are as close as 8 cm/3.2" to your subject, you can fill the entire frame with a 9.0 × 6.6 cm (3.5" × 2.6") subject. % This mode lets you shoot from as close as 2 cm/0.8" to your subject. Subjects measuring approximately 3.4 × 2.5 cm (1.3" × 1.0") can be captured on the monitor.
