Using the self-timer After the shutter button is pressed all the way down, the picture is taken after a time delay. 1 Press the Y button. P Y OFF SET OK ON SELFTIMER 12M NORM OFF Using the LED illuminator In a dark location, the LED illuminator can be used as an auxiliary light to see things or compose shots. 1 Set [LED ILLUMINATOR] (p. 48) to [ON]. 2 Press and hold the Y button down until the LED illuminator lights up. ● If you perform an operation when the LED illuminator is on, it will illuminate up to approx. 90 seconds. 2 Use EF to select the setting option, and press the o button to set. Item OFF ON Description This cancels the self-timer. The self-timer lamp turns on for approx. 10 seconds, and then blinks for approx. 2 seconds, and then the picture is taken. Self-timer shooting is automatically canceled after one shot. To cancel the self-timer after it starts Press the Y button again. LED illuminator The LED illuminator turns off if no operation is performed for approx. 30 seconds. Even when the camera's power is turned off, if the Y button is pressed until the LED illuminator lights up, it lights for 30 seconds.
