Selecting tracks Selecting tracks on music CDs (Direct Play) During playback or when stopped, you can use the remote control number buttons to select a track by number. Example: entering track number 7 Press [7]. Example: entering track number 23 Press [>10], [2] and [3]. Playback starts after the track number is input. Selecting tracks on MP3/WMA discs This manual refer to MP3, WMA, and other music data as "file" and a container in which files are stored as "folder". When you select a file on a MP3/WMA disc containing multiple folders, it is convenient to use Navigation mode or All folder mode. Navigation mode In this mode, select the file you want to play by navigating through the folder hierarchy from the top to lower levels. For example, in the figure below, folders appear in the order of 1 to 3, and you can proceed to a deeper level when you select a folder. [Root] 1 Same level 2 Playing CDs All folder mode In this mode, only the folders containing music files appear when you select a file. For example, in the figure below, folders appear in the order of 1 to 4. [Root] * 1 2 3 * 4 * Folders with no files in the level directly below do not appear. 1. When stopped, press the pause (;) button. "1" appears on the display and all folder mode is activated. 2. Use the skip (:/9) buttons to select a folder, and press the ENTER button or playback (1) button to enter that folder. 3. Use the skip (:/9) buttons to select a file. 0 To return to the folder selection, press the pause (;) button. 0 To deactivate this mode, press the stop (∫) button. 4. Selecting tracks on music CDs (Direct Play)
During playback or when stopped, you can use the
remote control number buttons to select a track by
number.
Example: entering track number 7
Press [7].
Example: entering track number 23
Press [>10], [2] and [3].
Playback starts after the track number is input.
Selecting tracks on MP3/WMA discs
This manual refer to MP3, WMA, and other music data as
“file” and a container in which files are stored as “folder”.
When you select a file on a MP3/WMA disc containing
multiple folders, it is convenient to use Navigation mode
or All folder mode.
Navigation mode
In this mode, select the file you want to play by navigating
through the folder hierarchy from the top to lower levels.
For example, in the figure below, folders appear in the
order of 1 to 3, and you can proceed to a deeper level
when you select a folder.
