Presetting an AM/FM radio station It allows you to register up to 40 of your favorite AM/FM radio stations. Registering radio stations in advance allows you to tune into your radio station of choice directly. Listening to AM/FM radio Selecting preset stations 1. Press the TUNER button repeatedly to select either "AM" or "FM" on the display. 2. Press 2 PRESET/PRESET 1 buttons to select a preset number. Registering radio stations automatically Only FM radio stations can be registered automatically. 0 If you use the Auto Preset function, all registered radio stations will be deleted and replaced by new ones. 1. Press the TUNER button repeatedly to select "FM" on the display. 2. Press the MENU button. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Tuner Setting" and press the ENTER button. 0 To return to the previous display, press the RETURN button. 3. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "AutoPreset" and press the ENTER button. A message requesting confirmation appears. 0 To cancel the operation, press the MENU button. 4. Press the ENTER button. Auto Preset starts. Up to 40 stations can be registered in the order of frequency. Registering radio stations manually 1. Tune into the AM/FM radio station you want to register. 2. Press the MENU button. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Tuner Setting" and press the ENTER button. 0 To return to the previous display, press the RETURN button. 3. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Preset Write" and press the ENTER button. The preset number on the display flashes. 0 To cancel the operation, press the MENU button. 4. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select the preset number and press the ENTER button. When the registration is complete, "Complete" appears on the display. 0 If a station has already been stored in the selected preset, the message "OverWrite ?" appears. To overwrite the previously stored station, press the ENTER button. To not overwrite the previously stored station, press the MENU button. 0 You can also select by directly entering the preset number with the number buttons. Naming a preset radio station: 1. Press the MENU button while a preset number is displayed, use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Tuner Setting", and press the ENTER button. 2. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Name Edit" and press the ENTER button. 3. Input the name. 0 For information on how to input characters, see "Inputting characters" under "Various settings". Copying a preset radio station: You can copy preset radio stations to other preset numbers and arrange them into the desired order. 1. Press the MENU button while a preset number is displayed, use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Tuner Setting", and press the ENTER button. 2. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Preset Copy" and press the ENTER button. The preset number on the display flashes. 3. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select the preset number of the copy destination and press the ENTER button. When the radio station has been copied, "Complete" appears on the display. 0 If a station has already been stored in the selected preset, the message "OverWrite ?" appears. To overwrite the previously stored station, press the ENTER button. To not overwrite the previously stored station, press the MENU button. 0 To keep a radio station registered to the preset number of the copy destination, copy it to another preset in advance. Erasing a preset radio station: 1. Press the MENU button while a preset number is displayed, use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Tuner Setting", and press the ENTER button. 2. Use the direction ( / ) buttons to select "Preset Erase" and press the ENTER button. A message requesting confirmation appears. 0 To cancel the operation, press the MENU button. 3. Press the ENTER button. When the radio station has been erased, "Complete" appears on the display. 24
