Making and Answering Calls Handset equalizer This feature clarifies the voice of the person you are talking to, producing a more naturalsounding voice that is easier to hear and understand. You can choose from "Treble", "Alto" or "Bass". 1 Press LOptionsR while talking. d 2 L R "Equalizer", press LOKR. 3 LsR Select the desired setting, press LOKR. Note: ● Depending on the condition and quality of your telephone line, this feature may emphasise exixting line noise. ● If it becomes difficult to hear, you can change the setting. ● This feature is not available while using the speakerphone. Intercom, transferring calls and conference calls Making an intercom call Intercom calls can be made: - between handsets - between a handset and the base unit Handset 1 If only one handset is registered to the base unit, press LINTERCOMR and the base unit rings automatically. 2 If 2 or more handsets are registered to the base unit, press LINTERCOMR d to L R select the handset / base unit that is to be called, press LOKR. Base unit 1 If only one handset is registered to the base unit, press LLOCATOR/INTERCOMR, the handset rings automatically. Lift the corded handset if needed. 2 If 2 or more handsets are registered to the d base unit, press LLOCATOR/INTERCOMR , L R to select the handset that is to be called, press LOKR. Lift the corded handset if needed. Receiving an intercom call Handset When an intercom call is received, base unit or the handset number that is calling is displayed. 1 LTALK/SP-PHONER to answer the call. Base unit When an intercom call is received, the handset number that is calling is displayed. 1 Lift the corded handset to answer the call. Transferring calls Outside calls can be transferred or a conference call with an outside party can be made: - between handsets - between a handset and the base unit During an outside call: Handset 1 If only one handset is registered to the base unit, press LINTERCOMR and the base unit rings automatically. 2 If 2 or more handsets are registered to the base unit, press LINTERCOMR d to L R select the handset / base unit that is to be called, press LOKR. 3 When the other handset or base unit answers, press LOFFR to complete the transfer. Base unit 1 If only one handset is registered to the base unit, press LLOCATOR/INTERCOMR and the handset rings automatically. 2 If 2 or more handsets are registered to the d base unit, press LLOCATOR/INTERCOMR L R to select the handset that is to be called, press LOKR. 3 When the handset answers, place the corded handset on the cradle to complete the transfer. Note: If there is no answer from the other handset / base unit, press LINTERCOMR on the handset or LLOCATOR/INTERCOMR on the base unit to return to the outside caller.
