Safety clutch If thread jamming occurs in the hook raceway, the hook drive is automatically disengaged. To re engage the hook drive, tilt the machine back. Pushpins back with a screwdriverto release latch K. Turn the balance wheel in sewing direction until you hear latch K snap in place in the clutch. Turn the balance wheel in reverse and remove the jammed thread. Now, the machine is ready for operation again.
