Press to return to the start of the current track or chapter. Repeated presses skips to the start of previous tracks or chapter. Go back channels (channel -). Play the reverse side of the tape on a reversible deck. Press to advance to the start of the next track or chapter. Repeated presses skips to the start of following tracks or chapter. Go forward channels (channel +). Pause playback or recording. Hold down for fast forward playback. Hold down for fast reverse playback. Start playback. Stop playback (on some models, pressing this when the disc is already stopped will cause the disc tray to open).
