Using Smart Organizing Monitor under the Macintosh Environment Network 3 Tab SNMP ❖ Community Name Enter the name of the community to which the network interface board belongs. You can use up to 15 alphanumeric characters. Only requests from hosts whose community name matches the name you set here will be accepted. ❖ Manager IP Address Enter the host computer's IP address. To accept requests from any host, set the address to "0.0.0.0". ❖ Manager IPX Address Enter the host computer's IPX address. The IPX address consists of the network number and the physical address. Enter the network number to which the host is connected and the MAC address of the host's network interface board, separated by a colon (:). To accept requests from any host, set the MAC address to "00:00:00:00:00:00". AppleTalk ❖ Printer Name Enter the name of the printer to be displayed on Chooser, using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. You cannot use symbols such as and "@", and characters equivalent to ASCII "0xc5". The name of the printer displayed on the active Macintosh Chooser appears in parentheses. Normally, this is the name specified under the [Selected Printer Name] box, but if multiple machines of the same name are configured, it may be another name. Printer Name is not displayed if the PostScript Unit is not installed. ❖ Zone Name Enter the name of the zone to which the interface board belongs. To specify the default zone, enter "*". You can use up to 32 alphanumeric characters. The name of the zone that the active interface board currently belongs to appears in parentheses. ❖ Type Name Displays the printer type. 12
