The Erase Disc dialog box opens. 3 Select the drive that contains the disc from the Drive list. 4 Click Erase Disc. Saving projects as disc image files and disc volumes Instead of burning your project to disc, you can save the entire contents of the project into a single file called a disc image. This file contains all of the information needed to burn the project to a disc directly from your hard disk. You can also save the project as a disc volume on your hard disk. A disc volume is a folder containing all the files that get burned onto a disc. You might want to save your project as a disc image or disc volume for the following reasons: ■ To make multiple copies of the project. ■ To allow someone else to burn your project to a disc for you, while preventing them from making changes to the project. ■ To postpone burning a completed project. Note To burn a disc image or disc volume to disc, use the optional Creator Classic component, or other disc burning software.
