Devices 4. The Devices menu supports all the device-related operations, discovery, firmware upgrades, file storage management, and configuration. This chapter gives you detailed information on the sub-menus under Devices tab that help you manage devices on the system. Configuration, File Storage and Firmware update menus are only available with Samsung devices. Samsung private MIB needs to be supported to use Configuration and File Storage (See "Samsung private MIB" on page 89). This chapter includes: • Group / List overview • Discovery overview • Configuration overview • Firmware overview • File Storage overview Group / List overview SyncThru™ Admin 5 is a group based management program rather than individually based. If you want to use SyncThru™ Admin 5 much more efficiently, group organization is recommended. In the Group / List , you can group the devices and see them in a list containing useful information like device status, IP address, and more. From SyncThru™ Admin 5, click Devices menu > Group/List. You can see Group list panels on the left side and the Devices List panel on the bottom middle of the page. Tabs 1 2 Group list 3 Group Summary There are two tab menus for Group / List . • Devices tab: offers widgets that help to manage devices. • Group Settings tab: offers options to configure settings.
