When the smile level exceeds the b point on the indicator, the camera records images automatically. If you press the shutter button during Smile Shutter, the camera shoots the image, then returns to Smile Shutter mode. 3 To stop shooting, press (Smile) button again. Do not obscure the face by hat, masks, sunglasses, etc. 2 Try to orient the face in front of the camera and be as level as possible. Keep the eyes narrowed. 3 Give a clear smile with an open mouth. The smile is easier to detect when the teeth are showing. • The shutter operates when any person whose face is being detected smiles. • If a smile is not detected, set the [Smile Detection Sensitivity] in setting menu. Hints for better capturing of smiles
The shutter operates when any person whose face is being detected smiles.
If a smile is not detected, set the [Smile Detection Sensitivity] in setting menu.

Do not cover the eyes with the bangs.
Do not obscure the face by hat, masks, sunglasses, etc.

Try to orient the face in front of the camera and be as
level as possible. Keep the eyes narrowed.

Give a clear smile with an open mouth. The smile is
easier to detect when the teeth are showing.
