Error message SEL Group SEL Track SLOW CHG TEMP OVER TOC Edit TOC ERR TR FULL TrPROTECT Meaning/Remedy • You selected " : Name", " : Move", or " : Erase" while the recorder is stopped or while playing a track that does not belong to a group. , Select a track within a group you want to edit, and then do the editing operation again. • You selected " : Name", " : Move", or " : Erase" after playback has already finished or after END SEARCH was pressed, and the recorder has stopped. , Do the editing operation again after selecting the desired track first. • You tried to charge at a place where the temperature is too low. , Charge the battery at a temperature of +5°C (+41°F) to +40°C (+104°F). • Heat has built up in the recorder. , Let the recorder cool down. • The MD player is recording information (track start and end position) from the memory to the disk. , Wait until this process is completed. Do not expose the player to physical shock, nor disrupt power supply. • The recorder cannot read the disc information correctly. , Insert another disc. , If it is no problem to erase the entire disc, do so (page 44). • Track number 254 has been reached. , Erase unnecessary tracks (page 44). • You tried to record or edit a track that is protected from erasing. , Record or edit on other tracks. • You tried to edit a track that has been checked out from a computer. , Check the track back in to the computer and then edit. 88
