N Hold and start your saw as described. When engine begins to fire 418BA004 KN 3 2 N Press down trigger lockout and the blip the throttle trigger (2) - the Master Control lever (3) moves to the run position (F) and the engine settles down to idling speed. 418BA007 KN If idling behavior is erratic or acceleration is poor: N Readjust carburetor if necessary, see "Adjusting the Carburetor". N If your saw is very cold (frost or ice on machine), start the engine and keep it at a high idle speed (with chain brake disengaged) until it reaches normal operating temperature. NOTICE Always disengage chain brake before accelerating the engine. High revs with the chain brake engaged (chain locked) will quickly damage the clutch and chain brake. N After a cold start, warm up the engine at varying speeds - your saw is ready for operation. N Move Master Control lever to Stop 0. If the engine does not start If you did not move the Master Control lever from the choke closed position (l) to the choke open position (j) quickly enough after the engine began to fire, the engine is probably flooded. N Move Master Control lever to Stop 0. N Remove the spark plug - see "Spark Plug". MS 193 C
