10 Setting up the Toshiba drive Status indications Light status Flashing Solid Flashing rapidly Indicates The connected computer is reading or writing data on the drive. The drive is powered on but is not currently being accessed. After five minutes of inactivity, the light dims when the drive enters power-saving mode. An error has occurred. Disconnect and then re-connect the drive to your computer. If the condition is not cleared, contact Toshiba support. Setting up the Toshiba drive
Status indications
After five minutes of inactivity, the drive enters a power-saving mode

Attach the stand
Carefully seat the hard drive into the stand in the vertical
