DMS-AV HOME THEATER AMPLIFIER Surround modes DTS Surround DTS Surround (also called simply DTS) supports up to 5.1 discrete channels and uses less compression for high fidelity reproduction. Use it with DVDs and CDs bearing the DTS logo. DTS-ESTM Discrete 6.1 This is a 6.1 channel discrete digital audio format adding a surround back channel to the DTS digital surround sound. The seven totally separate audio channels provide better spatial imaging and 360 degrees sound localization, perfect for sounds that pan across the surround channels. Use it with DVDs bearing the DTS-ES logo, especially those with a DTS ES Discrete sound track. DTS-ESTM Matrix 6.1 This is a 6.1 channel discrete digital audio format inserting a surround back channel to the DTS digital surround sound through matrix encoding. Use it with DVDs bearing the DTS-ES logo. DTS-Neo: 6TM Surround DTS Neo: 6 is a matrix decoding technology for achieving 7.1 channel surround playback with 2 channel sources. It includes 'DTS Neo: 6 Music' suited for playing music. DTS 96/24 This is high resolution DTS with a 96 kHz sampling rate and 24 bit resolution, providing superior fidelity. Use it with DVDs bearing the DTS 96/24 logo. DTS-HD High Resolution Audio Developed for use with HDTV, including the new video disc formats Bluray and HD DVD, this is the latest multi-channel audio format from DTS. It supports up to 7.1 channels with 96 kHz/24 bit sampling rate and signal resolution. DTS -HD Master Audio Designed to take full advantage of the additional storage space offered by the new Blu-ray and HD DVD disc formats, this new DTS format offers up to 7.1 discrete channels for uncompressed digital audio with 96 kHz/24 bit sampling rate and signal resolution.
