The system announces "Announcement deleted." and the screen displays Annc. reset to default briefly. • After you deleted your own recorded announcement, the answering system answers calls with the default announcement. You cannot delete the default announcement. Set number of rings You can set the answering system to answer an incoming call after two, three, four, five or six rings; or toll saver. By default, the answering system answers an incoming call after four rings. If you choose toll saver, the answering system answers a call after two rings when you have new messages, or after four rings when you have no new messages. This enables you to check for new messages and avoid paying unnecessary long distance charges if you are calling from outside your local area. 1. Press MENU when the phone is not in use. 2. Press q or p to choose Answering sys then press SELECT. 3. Press q or p to choose Line 1 or Line 2, then press SELECT. 4. Press q or p to choose Ans sys setup, then press SELECT. 5.
